GTS is looking for a talented Test Orchestration and Management Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will have an opportunity to drive positive change in the environment by managing some of the latest technologies in the industry. Your role as an engineer will involve contributing to a high-performing Test Orchestration and Management team, partnering with other technologists in IT and the business to drive our digital transformation. Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an optimized and automated testing framework in a CI/CD process using the latest testing tools, and work with teams to implement those processes in enterprise DevOps/Platform Engineering
  • Contribute to test automation in the execution of CI/CD processes in a clear, maintainable manner, with high-visibility into the build, test, servers and deployment phases
  • Work with application teams to help adopt continuous testing – optimization, performance, API, unit, load, regression, security and code coverage scanning – in the areas of build, distribution and deployment
  • Help to configure the DevOps stack with regards to Test Management, performance monitoring, analytics, and auditability
  • Commit to ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance for our customers in our Production environment
  • Work with the Development, project/product management organizations to align projects, releases, patches, and other efforts
  • Develop and maintain installation, configuration and operations procedures
  • Work with a group of highly motivated DevOps/Platform Engineering leaders, engineers and systems administrators
  • Monitor support contracts and licensing
  • Work collaboratively and knowledge share with other divisions and corporate counterparts to foster the mindset of continuous improvement across the environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field.
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in IT with at least 4 years of DevOps engineering and/or software development experience required
  • Understanding of Test Orchestration and Management, SDLC, DevOps/Release Engineering, and CI/CD
  • Knowledge and understanding of test tools such as Xray for Jira, Selenium, TestNG, Harness, Tricentis, LoadRunner, Rational Integration Tester, SOAP UI, Test Data Manager, Junit, JaCoCo, Cucumber, SonarQube, Veracode, or SilkTest
  • Familiarity with build tools like Ant, Maven, npm and Gradle
  • Experience with GitHub, Cloudbees Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira; Having knowledge of Cloudbees SDA, GitHub Actions is big plus
  • At least one or two years of experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, etc., and cloud deployment technologies
  • Strong skills with various operating environments including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Virtual machines
  • Clearly demonstrate hands on experience with shell scripting, Java, Python, Groovy, etc – Agile development methodology and DevOps mindset
  • Demonstrate strong problem analysis, resolution, decision-making and judgment skills
  • Work independently as well as collaborate within functional and across peer IT and business partners
  • Demonstrate excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build positive relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Experience with
  • Hands on; i.e. willing to revamp/optimize Ant, Maven, Python or Gradle scripts
  • You will have the opportunity to influence Test Orchestration and Management tools and techniques used as well participate or lead technology evaluations or proof of concepts so remaining active and current on technology trends is essential
  • Experience with automating deployment, scaling, and management of container applications using Docker
  • Experience with Ansible Tower and developing playbooks is a plus.
  • Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, and various platforms including AWS and Azure cloud instances experience a plus
