Test Analyst | 5+ Yrs | Pune

Job Description:

This hands-on role will be responsible for designing and developing solutions to enable quick and seamless delivery. The DevOps development role is responsible and would be working on multiple standard projects, as a DevOps Developer of delivery / Design. Collaborating with Architects, PMs and developers as well as support and Infrastructure teams during and for the Design and development of the software components within the project scope, ensuring quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness in order to support the high performance delivery of change projects

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Able to work in team environment being part of project agile team to design plan and create test scripts and automation framework
• Ability to pick up requirements and suggest automation strategy, keeping up with latest industrial trends and designing enterprise solutions
• Good understanding of agile mythologies and DevOps
• Assure product quality through the development of manual or automated test scripts. This effort should maximize the ROI while minimizing quality risks. Output consistent with department’s guidelines
• Assure process quality and consistency through development or adherence to guidelines and standards appropriate to product and industry and/or development life cycle
• Assist project manager in identifying data to maintain, and KPIs to analyse and report against
• When involved in testing, ensure test design is traceable to requirement and achieves a high level of requirement and test execution coverage. Continuously improve test scripts and product coverage. Complete all updates test cases, test scripts, test harnesses, test guidelines according to schedule
• Execute all assigned testing, whether manual or automated, according to schedule and any productivity targets committed
• Support root cause analysis exercises against target areas, propose corrective approaches for measurable improvements, track and report progress; communicate the plans and results effectively to drive change
• Produce reports that are clear, effective, insightful, and traceable whether for defects discovered during test or non-compliance issues found during a process review or audit. Utilize existing tracking systems, report mechanisms, agreed conventions, and metrics when preparing and providing such reports
• Escalate concerns about project/product/process quality in clear, timely, collaborative, constructive way
• Objectively evaluate processes and products against applicable standards, and procedures

Knowledge & Skills:

• Must demonstrate effective communication with stakeholders, Senior management, Peers, and subordinates both verbally and in writing
• Strong teaming, problem solving and communications skills will be required
• Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools
• Rich technology experience and good exposure to latest advancements in Testing
• Must be experienced in delivering testing for multiple program (s)/project(s) of medium to large complexity

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years of total software testing experience in a relevant IT industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience in agile testing environment.
• Must be experienced in software development methodology and software maintenance practices in banking and financial sector.
• Must demonstrate effective communication with stakeholders, Senior management, Peers, and subordinates both verbally and in writing.
• Strong teaming, problem solving and communications skills will be required
• Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools
• Rich technology experience and good exposure to latest advancements in Testing
• Must be experienced in delivering testing for multiple program (s)/project(s) of medium to large complexity.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with tools supporting SDLC (Deployment and Continuous Integration – Team City, Nolio, Jenkins; Source Control – Git, Perforce, etc)
• Previous experience in investment banking, preferably in a Market Risk environment although other financial services experiences will be considered
