Sr Software Automation Engineer | 3 – 5+ Yrs | USA

As a member of this group, you will be joining a worldwide team that is responsible for developing the test platform and test infrastructure used in the quality, reliability, and customer experience testing of HDDs and SSDs along with manufacturing for systems and Lyve Rack products.  This team supports the overall Seagate Quality and Customer Experience organization, enabling Seagate to deliver quality and reliable product to the end customer.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for designing and developing an integrated test framework and build infrastructure for the test platform used to support HDDs, SSDs, systems, and solutions.  This position will include both hardware infrastructure bring up as well software and scripting development.
• Be responsible for developing the deployment methods and infrastructure of the test platform to all locations
• Be working closely with the test platform architects and security leads to ensure all methods support best practices for code deployment as set by Seagate IT and Security standards 

Job Requirements:

• Python, C/C++, and Java knowledge
• Git experience
• Jenkins, Gitlab pipelines, or similar continuous integration tool experience
• Linux
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer engineering or computer science and 5+ years experience, or Master’s Degree in the same and 3+ years experience, or PHD and 0+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

• RPM or similar software packaging experience
• Redhat or CentOS experience a plus
