Job Description:

This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Experience and Qualification:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of resilient application stacks via “Infrastructure as Code” and other DevOps practices
  • Experience creating robust code delivery pipelines using orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps pipelines, Github Actions
  • Diagnosis and resolution of complex system and application issues
  • Working with diverse technical and non-technical teams, including Development, QA, IT Operations, Customer Operations and Project Management teams
  • Write and maintain systems / application documentation for technical and non-technical
  • Monitoring and on-going support of critical, high revenue business applications

Job Requirements:

  • Professional experience of working within the public cloud – Azure, AWS
  • Use of orchestration tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Creation of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins
  • Configuration Management tools – e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef or equivalents
  • Experience deploying and administrating tools that make up the code delivery pipelines such as Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.
  • Hands-on experience of Linux server including support and troubleshooting
  • Cloud Architecture and system design to solve key business problems and facilitate team goals.
  • Experience of working with / hosting containers via platforms such as Docker

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
  • System and application monitoring – e.g. Datadog, Cloudwatch
  • Familiarity with Log Management tools e.g – Elastic Stack, Graylog or Splunk
  • Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or similar
  • Use of Secret Management services e.g – Hashicorp Vault
