R&D Test Engineer | USA

Job Description:

The Engineer, Test R&D will work with the Opto-mechanical Test R&D team to ensure we develop high quality products within Stryker Endoscopy’s product portfolio. Test R&D engineers design test methods and supporting fixtures, evaluate product designs through testing, and ensure our products meet Stryker’s high standards for product quality while meeting the needs of our customers and our business. The role requires someone who has great communication, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to exercise independent judgement
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to work and collaborate in a cross-functional and cross-site team environment
• Ability to create, interpret, and analyze test designs

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in the use of CAD (Solidworks and Creo preferred) and other design analysis tools
• Experience in leading test and verification deliverables within a project team
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing and processing methods and technologies to support complex product development and testing
• Understanding of product design process, troubleshooting, and failure mode analysis
• Hands on skills to build early prototypes and test setups for proof of concept.
• Experience in test fixture design and automation
• Experience in FDA regulated or regulated industry, with a strong preference for previous experience in medical devices.
