Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality, testable and optimally deployed code for complex trading products and components on AWS.
  • Member of a core team responsible for the migration of the core platform which comprises of Java based distributed applications using message based integration, distributed and in-memory cache using Oracle as a permanent datastore to AWS Cloud.
  • This will involve working on the application to meet the criteria for Cloud readiness, provide for infrastructure capabilities on the Cloud, build or leverage existing DevOps release management pipelines to automate build process, environment setups, testing scripts, deployments, and production operational metrics/debugging information.
  • Engages in developing proof of concepts (POCs) for new programs and conducts peer code reviews, estimation reviews.
  • Interacts with business users, I/T, vendors and customers to define current and future application requirements.
  • Involved in troubleshooting and debugging critical problems and resolving complex technical issues that may arise.
  • Use your strong background of AWS Cloud services, patterns, container technology, monitoring, telemetry and logging and experience in Cloud migration projects
  • Build and manage CI/CD workflows and complex system integrations using Python scripting language.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5- years experience Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring-boot, RESTful services (Full-stack development across distributed applications and services using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring-boot, RESTful services and have deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, messaging technologies, containerization, web containers and test automation)
  • Minimum of 1-years of relevant AWS Cloud experience
  • Minimum of 1-years experience with event based systems, functional programming, technologies such as Scala / Akka / Camel and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS
  • Minimum of 1-years experience of CI/CD (with tools such as Jenkins, Udeploy, Python)
  • Minimum 2-years experience with Oracle
  • Minimum 1-years experience UI Frontend frameworks like – Jquery 1.8x, Bootstrap, AngularJS, CSS3, and Java Script frameworks

Preferred Skills:

  • AWS Certified Developer Associate / Architect Associate
  • Distributed data cache management technologies
  • Knowledge of SQL performance tuning techniques
  • Experience with stock trading business functionality
  • Experience in one or more testing frameworks (Selenium, MS Test, etc.)
