Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Manager, Software Engineering who can lead our Data Automation engineers in building amazing robots.  Our team builds web crawlers, data parser, and automated workflows to power unique products in the finance service industry.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a 5+ member team of data engineers at all levels of experience
  • Drive the performance of the team to excellence in execution with high employee engagement and satisfaction, balancing short term business needs with long term training and career development paths.
  • Help manage our automation projects – gathering requirements, resolving questions, interfacing with stakeholders, managing agile workflow in JIRA, monitoring metrics and output.
  • Build, improve, and run our Generic Robots to extract data from both the web and documents – handling critical information among a wide variety of structures and formats without error.
  • Derive common patterns from semi-structured data, build code to handle them, and be able to deal with exceptions as well.
  • Be responsible for live execution of our robots, managing the turnaround times, exceptions, QA and delivery

Job Requirements:

  • 6+ years of deep experience in Python
  • 2+ years of experience of working on AWS cloud
  • 3-5+ years in a Team Lead / Tech Lead role, with outstanding performance. 8-10 years exp overall
  • 4+ years of experience with building running and maintaining crawlers
  • Successfully built advanced PDF or HTML crawlers, specifically with semi-structured data formats
  • Successfully worked on projects that delivered 99+% accuracy despite wide variety of formats
  • Experience working with financial data and finance companies, or similar industries that require similar levels of attention, timeliness, and accuracy
  • A sharp eye for detail, adept at creating and maintaining processes and workflows.
  • Ability to synthesize thoughts and data and communicate well to all levels
  • A firm but friendly, collaborative attitude, driven to the team’s success, accountable, responsible, and hard working.
  • Leadership qualities – ability to create a high functioning environment, where all team members are driven, motivated, responsible and satisfied.
