Job Description:
We are looking for an Infotainment QA Engineer to build high quality products. This is an exciting position on a team building world-class connected car solutions. As a technical contributor on the team, you will have the ability and empowerment to make changes and move quickly. You will have the opportunity to directly impact in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) projects. The ideal candidate is effective in a fast-paced Agile development environment, pushing industry best practices and system maturity through analysis, automated testing, and performance testing.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Produce automated UI tests that navigate all possible use cases of the Command system, IVI and supporting cloud systems
- Boost unit, integration, and system testing coverage
- Flexible enough to work on multiple products being produced for a fast-changing market
- Integrate automated testing solutions into continuous integration pipelines
- Develop, maintain, and communicate meaningful testing plans and recaps that drive product decisions
- Use project’s best practices and coding standards
- Have a customer-focused mindset for delivering a product that is centered around a great customer experience
- Analyze system performance for bottlenecks
- Be an active participant in and help enhance a mature agile environment
- Explore new methods and tools for automated testing
- Take necessary measures to ensure adoption of latest testing trends in daily code development activities
- Constantly look for ways to increase the team’s velocity/productivity by eliminating waste
- Thoroughly document issues found, assign proper severity, and drive resolution
- Help build and maintain high team morale
Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years of automated software testing experience
- Demonstrated experience using industry standard automated testing tools such as Selenium Web Driver
- Development experience using C#, Java, or Python
- Strong background and knowledge in automated, system, smoke, black box, integration, and unit testing
- Proven experience in building ground-up automation solutions to drive product quality
- Experience with Agile development methods such as Scrum and Kanban
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar degree
Preferred Skills:
- Experience testing IVI solutions, including CAN bus integration testing
- Performance testing experience
- Experience implementing continuous integration solutions, such as Jenkins, to productionize and execute tests
- Experience developing automated testing solutions with Eggplant
