Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Analyst Professional, you will be a part of small but growing team of talented people responsible for implementing a sophisticated enterprise Account Origination software solution platform for Banks and Credit Unions, in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.  Your efforts will influence the success of companies across the world.  As part of Fiserv’s Digital Lending and Origination team, you will be responsible for ensuring the solutions we deliver to clients meet the Fiserv quality standards.  The ideal candidate will have a background in (1) test execution, (2) client-facing project testing/delivery, (3) issue triage and resolution, and (4) QA methodologies and tools.

In this role, you will plan and execute the quality assurance activities throughout the project cycle for assigned projects and contribute to defining the departmental QA processes and best practices.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements and design documents for compliance to standards
  • Create test plans and works diligently to ensure projects are ready for QA entry
  • Write and execute test cases based upon requirements and design specifications
  • Record test results and report defects using team processes and standards
  • Ensure all builds are properly validated
  • Report project issues and risks to the project team as they arise
  • Work with the project team to mitigate/resolve issues that impede progress
  • Assist in the recreation and retesting of defects
  • Effectively communicate issues, concerns, progress, etc. to all audiences
  • Support project activities post-Kickoff through to turnover to production support

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years experience in the software quality assurance industry
  • 1+ years experience working with external clients on a regular basis
  • Solid understanding of basic software testing concepts such as Black Box, White Box, Smoke, Regression, Targeted, Negative and Boundary
  • Proficiency with testing Web Applications across various browsers
  • Experience working with common collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams etc.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, on multiple projects at once and with a strong focus on client timelines
  • Understanding of multi-tiered architectures, networking and relational databases
  • Ability to accurately gather, analyze and interpret data, identify and define problems, and make recommendations for resolution
  • Basic knowledge on Web services and REST services (Concept, how they work, request and response, possible operations (e.g., GET, DELETE, UPDATE))
  • Strong Analytic skills to help with solving issues, reviewing/explaining defects, updating/reviewing documents, and planning
  • Basic knowledge of Visual Studio and programming languages (at least to easily navigate through the automation code)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with financial services products/services (e.g., online banking, e-payments)
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Effective presentation skills with experience speaking to large teams
